Regeneration in Volunteering

The "Regeneration in Volunteering" project is establishing a free, volunteer-led support structure in Münster for initiatives, associations, and social projects. The focus is on volunteer regeneration, awareness, social inclusion, conflict prevention, and discrimination-sensitive organizational structures.

The starting point is the observation that many volunteer initiatives and social projects are under increasing pressure. Budget cuts, social polarization, and a growing shift to the right mean that vital social and cultural work must be carried out with fewer and fewer resources. At the same time, structures for conflict prevention, awareness, regeneration, and sustainable organization are often lacking.

As a result, many volunteers are working at their breaking point or withdrawing from projects due to burnout and a lack of support. This leads to the loss of important spaces for social inclusion, community, and solidarity.

This is exactly where the project comes in. We are planning free consultations, workshops, and support services on topics such as volunteer regeneration, awareness, discrimination-sensitive communication, conflict prevention, and sustainable organizational development. The goal is to relieve the burden on volunteer groups, keep them capable of acting in the long term, and strengthen social inclusion.

This creates tangible added value for Münster. Volunteer groups create spaces for social interaction, organize cultural events and political education, and offer low-threshold support. The project aims to help preserve these structures in the long term, strengthen networks of solidarity, and promote discrimination-sensitive and democratic participation.

The requested funding of 5,000 euros will be used to build and implement the support structure. This includes workshops, consulting services, and activities focused on regeneration, awareness, and sustainable organizational development, as well as spaces, materials, and other necessary resources. A portion of the funds will also be used for workshop facilitator fees.
