The project is rooted in the significance of Skulptur Projekte Münster as an internationally renowned exhibition for art in public spaces. At the same time, major cultural and social events often spark a desire among many people to get actively involved and become part of the cultural dialogue. SchattenSkulptura aims to provide an open, accompanying program outside of the official main event.

The platform is designed to enable artists, initiatives, cultural venues, and engaged citizens from Münster and the surrounding region to showcase their own art projects, find exhibition spaces, and actively participate in one of Münster's most significant cultural events. All information regarding SchattenSkulptura will be centralized there.

Art projects will be displayed both spatially on an interactive map and chronologically in an event calendar. Furthermore, the platform aims to connect people who have available exhibition space with artists.

SchattenSkulptura bridges culture, digital infrastructure, and civic engagement. It creates a shared infrastructure for self-organized art and cultural projects in Münster, strengthens the local cultural scene, and fosters new networks between the arts, the hospitality industry, associations, and the community.

The requested 5,000 euros will primarily be used for the development and refinement of the digital platform. Additional funds are allocated for hosting and technical operations, event planning and execution, public relations and documentation, as well as support for participating artists.
