Understanding Inclusion
“Inklusion-verstehen.de” combines critical analysis of structural challenges with inspiring insights into lived self-determination. The platform is complemented by a local “Barrier Watchdog,” designed to identify and help eliminate physical barriers throughout the city.
The project is rooted in the conviction that well-implemented inclusion helps to identify and remove everyday barriers. Reducing these obstacles not only strengthens the independence of many individuals but also helps prepare Münster for the challenges of demographic change.
The “Barrier Watchdog” on inklusion-verstehen.de actively encourages people to track down and highlight barriers within the city. This approach helps initiate concrete improvements and raises awareness about accessibility among a wider audience.
The project aims to make Münster more livable and future-proof, ensuring that as many people as possible can navigate the city independently and participate fully in social life.
The funding will be used to further develop the “Barrier Watchdog,” improve the website’s accessibility, and support additional public relations efforts.
